Larry Roszkowiak sent us this photo of a church marquee that created a stir in January that ended with the pastor being forced to resign. At the Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in Weed, Calif., three women organized a “Love Rally” in opposition to the sign’s message. Pastor Justin Hoke posted on Facebook: “The response we’re receiving from this sign proves that it was posted way too late. If a conservative mountain farming community is no longer a safe place to call sin, sin, then is anywhere in this country still safe for real Christians?” Days later, Hoke resigned after hearing that multiple people threatened to leave if he did not step down as pastor.
