The FFRF legal team took its annual boat cruise aboard the Pontoon Porch on Lake Mendota in Madison, Wis., in late July as an appreciation event for FFRF’s summer interns. FFRF thanks a generous member for making this annual gift to entertain interns.
Daniel Crandall of Idaho snapped this photo in June in Pendleton, Ore. “I find it delightfully ambiguous,” Daniel wrote.
Charles Oakey of California reacts to a group called The Official Street Preachers. “I am thoroughly disgusted by the antics of these people,” Oakey writes. “They come to San Diego every July, first to San Diego Pride Parade where this picture was taken (July 18), then to San Diego Comic-Con, a truly massive event, to spew hatred and vitriol, and preach their weird take on Christianity. LGBTQ-friendly Christian groups were in the parade, but these bozos (the Street Preachers) shouted them down through their sound system, saying they weren’t ‘real Christians.’ Where have I heard that before?”
Sue Schuetz of Wisconsin sent us this photo from a church marquee in Oxford, Wis. She writes: “Oh, it’s free until you walk through the door and suddenly the collection plate appears.”
